- Below is an example of the confirmation E-mail that is
sent out to first time E-mailers when a user has activated Automatic
White-Listing.
- In the example below "Junkin Web Services Whitelist Test" is the e-mail
username, your name will appear here if you activate Automatic White Listing.
- If you wish to activate Automatic White Listing for your account please
see Web Mail Access for more information on
how to update your account settings.
- Whitelist Settings;
- Use Whitelist: check this box to activate
Whitelisting for your email address
- Address List: This is the list of
addresses that are approved to be delivered directly to your inbox.
You can type addresses in this box (one per line), delete addresses from
here and even copy and paste addresses from one user to another user by
highlighting them, copy them, logoff from one user, log on to the other user
and paste them in. If you wish to paste in a list to start with,
please compose your list in Windows Notepad, not MS Word.
- Whitelist Recipients User Sends Mail to: This
box allows the mail server to add email addresses to your whitelist of
people you send mail to if your outgoing mail server is set for the Junkin
Web Services mail server. It is recommended that you use your ISP to
send your email which speeds mail processing and reduced the likely hood
that mail is rejected due to blacklisting of the Junkin Web Services mail
server. Please see this
page for info on outgoing mail servers.
- Use Automated Whitelists: This option
causes the email server to generate an automated reply like the one in the
example below. Once the server generates the automated reply, the
original sender must click a link in the message to have their email
delivered and be added to your whitelist.
- Verification Wait Time (Days): We
recommend you set this to 4 days so that you have ample time to manually
check your whitelist queue for mail that you may have wanted and didn't get.
You check your whitelist queue by logging into the web mail interface and
selecting the Whitelist Queue folder on the left, under the inbox folder.
- Confirmation Message Subject: You can
customize the email subject line of the automated message.
- Confirmation Message Body: You can
customize the email body of the automated message. (Please test your
whitelist immediately after activating it by sending a message from someone
else's account)
- Click the UPDATE button at the bottom of the
page to make your changes.

- After clicking on the link in the E-mail the user will
see a web page like the one below. This process adds the users E-mail
address to your White-List and all mail from that user will automatically be
delivered to you without any more confirmations.
