Outlook Express defaults to a Preview Pane for reading your e-mail in the lower half of the screen (see below). While being very handy, this feature means that you are OPENING every e-mail you click on, even the ones that you click on and delete quickly are still being opened. Junkin Web Services recommends that you disable this feature and begin opening e-mail with a double click and deleting without opening any suspicious or undesirable e-mail. Please follow the steps below to setup your Outlook Express.
1. Choose the VIEW / LAYOUT menu option as shown.
2. Remove the Check Mark form the box in front of "Show preview pane" 3. Press OK
Now your Outlook Express should look like this.
