Email Usage Tips
You have two good
options for achieving this.
-
Your first option is to create a
Spam Filing rule in Outlook Express that allows only mail from your approved
list of senders to get to your inbox, everything else goes to your Spam Trap
folder. You can still review the items in your Spam Trap folder but they
don't clutter your inbox anymore. This method requires you to maintain
the list of approved senders and add new people you wish to receive from to
your list.

Your second option is to use
Junkin Web Services Automatic White listing feature associated with your
Junkin Web Services email account. With this feature turned on the mail
server will reply to all senders of mail to your account requesting
confirmation that the email is legitimate. Typically, only the real
humans will reply to these messages and all of the automated SPAM senders will
not even exist. You can also manually add some addresses to your White
List so that email from know sources such as newsletters, tracking information
and purchase confirmations can make it to you. You also have the ability
to check your White List hold queue by using the
Junkin Web Services Mail Portal. Please review the following web
page to learn more about setting up Automatic White Listing.
Simply log onto the
Junkin Web Services Mail Portal
using Internet Explorer and select the Settings Menu option. Follow these
instructions below on how to configure your Autoresponder.

By changing your Send/Receive
options to not send your message until the next scheduled Send/Receive cycle you
give yourself the opportunity to modify an outbound email before it actually
leaves your computer. We recommend extending your Send/Receive interval to
20 or 30 minutes to allow plenty of time for a message to remain in your outbox
before being sent. The other advantage of this is that your inbound
messages don't come quite as often and therefore don't interrupt your work cycle
as often permitting you to focus on your work. You can always over-ride
this extended time by simply clicking on the Send/Receive button to force it to
check for new mail.
